Vice President, Asset Management / Acquisitions
John Locke currently serves as Vice President of Asset Management and Acquisitions for DIG. In this role, he is responsible for asset management and leasing of the portfolio as well as the sourcing, negotiating, underwriting, due diligence, and closing of commercial real estate investments for the firm. Since 2002 John has closed on over a billion dollars of value add commercial real estate in the Western US.
Prior to joining DIG, John had worked with Chris Dornin since 2007 acquiring over $100 million of commercial real estate in the Western US and running asset management for private residential investment funds, which consisted of buying, renovating, and selling nearly 700 homes, totaling $160 million of residential real estate in Arizona and California. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Locke oversaw all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions for several private real estate funds based out of San Diego, which acquired more than $700 million of commercial real estate spanning California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Texas. As Vice President, he was responsible for the sourcing, negotiating, underwriting, market research, and due diligence of new transactions.
John graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is an avid outdoors-man and world traveler.
